There are loads of different Careers offered within the movie industry, too many in fact to record all in one go. However I would like to take a look at some of the more known Careers which are offered, to provide people an idea of what’s on hand. So if you are hunting for a New career and want something that’s linked in with the movie industry, then perhaps you will acquire some new ideas, or perhaps just a better idea of what is expected from any Careers you have been considering.

The most obvious role most people will look at when considering New careers within the movie industry are Careers as an actor or actress. Now of course these Careers are very hard to get started on, as there is a huge amount of competition out there for these Careers. In order to have a chance at making a thriving career as an actor or actress you need to not only be gifted, but also incredibly devoted and committed to making it succeed. It is definitely an incredibly hard role to get started in, but also a wonderful one to succeed in.

Another one of the key jobs within the movie industry is of course the job of director – the person who watches over overall development and production of a movie, and has the definitive say on how the final movie ultimately looks. Now again becoming a director is very tough, you need to be very talented, and you must be able to make work that appeals to your chosen market. As a director you can start out producing your own low budget movies, and hope that these are picked up on by someone within the mainstream industry. Again, a very tough role to get into, but an incredibly rewarding one should you succeed.

There are many other New careers offered as well for people within the movie industry, jobs which are a lot more behind the scenes, but are just as crucial to the production of the film as some of the more known jobs. Some of these jobs include jobs like as make-up artists, which can differ from just touching up the make-up of the key actor, to producing full facial masks for actors in the next sci-fi action film. There are even just casual jobs offered, helping out build sets, or keeping them clean, and these casual jobs can help you advance into a proper role, as you gain experience, and can start making a name for yourself. This is quite often the main point of entry for lots of people into the movie industry, but you will need to be psyched up for a lot of competition and rejections – it will take a huge amount of perseverance in order to make it big in this industry.
