Moving can be a very costly adventure when you take into account all the small details involved. One of the bigger of the small details would be how to get your teenager’s car from point A to point B most efficiently and cost effectively. Is it feasible to have the teenager drive the car himself? Is he responsible enough for such an adventure? How many expenses would he incur making such a long trip? Is it more costly to relocate the car using an auto transport company than the car is actually worth? Should you pay, say, a Texas car shipping company to be in charge of the whole transport operation or should you look into the more local Florida auto transport Company? The larger and sometimes more difficult question would be should you just sell the car and risk your teenagers heartache at having to sell his first car and purchase another when you arrive at your new house?

All choices should be carefully considered. If your teenager is heartbroken over selling the first car that he has invested some of his hard-earned cash into to make it special, maybe the best choice would be to have your teenager pay a part of the transport costs. Maybe a better lesson would be to have the teenager prepare and list the car for sale in your current location and then have him go through the steps of selling the car. It could be really exciting then to have him search for and find a proper affordable replacement online near your new home and go through the process of purchasing the new car on his own with your guidance.

In the end, you may say that it would be cheaper and less complicated in the long run to just go ahead and pay the transport company to handle of the relocation of the vehicle. Your teenager would most likely be happier keeping the original car. Having the car relocated by the transport company, you won’t have the concerns of your teenager driving such a long distance on his own. He would feel that he is a contributing member of the family assisting in paying for the transport himself. It would also be a nice daily reminder of his former house having his first car travel with him to the new location and would help him to build new memories with his new friends and environment.
