Displaying Roman Armor
The Traveling Exhibit of Legionary Armor was just in town last week. Silvano Mattesini is the owner and operator of this fine exhibit. This architect and historian locates the forgotten armors and takes them around personally. Some of his pieces include Roman soldier armors and gladiator armors. He has found items created from both bronze and iron. Unfortunately the iron pieces do not hold up as well as the bronze pieces. The restoration of all of the pieces is done personally by Silvano.
Silvano’s job sounds absolutely fantastic. The person wanting this job would however need to have a passion for history. He or she would also need to have training to find and restore these fantastic historical pieces. Capital would also be needed so that digging and renovation equipment could be purchased.
The daily operation of the traveling exhibit could be funded by charging visitors for each viewing. Advertising could be done through Facebook and other online medias. A web site could be used to let everyone know the current location of the ever mobile exhibit.
Authentic armors are great, but most people can’t tell the difference between authentics and Roman armor replicas. Replicas can look just as great as the real thing, but much less costly. There are a multitude of folks with massive armor displays in their homes. They devote entire rooms to displaying medieval items such as weapons, armors, and even shields.
Full size models, display cases, and shelves are all great display items for your armors. Using all 3 methods is a great way to make a visually appealing display. You’ll find some fantastic looking armors at http://www.historicalclothingrealm.com.
The widest variety of armors can be found in Internet stores. You’ll save time and cash not having to visit some specialty brick and mortar store. Wouldn’t it be great to have a few armors displayed in your home or office?
With a few years of collecting you could have a large collection to be proud of. Over time you may even create a collection that is large enough to take on the road with you. People love looking at large and beautiful collections and you’ll get many admirers. Whatever you decide to do, I’m sure you’ll agree that Roman armor is for everybody.
